About Arkateqq
Arkateqq, the brainchild of Woodro Skillson, is an artist, songwriter, music producer and DJ from New Jersey. Growing up admidst farmland, he listened to an odd mix of grunge, hip hop, folk and freestyle music, and found many gems in his family’s vinyl and tape collection. After teaching himself guitar at an early age and discovering ways to overdub instruments onto cassettes (multi-track recording via karaoke machine), he was drawn into the deeper aspects of sound engineering.
While finding success making music with others, he studied songwriting for many years and minimized his approach to production. He now offers audio services to brands, filmmakers, music directors and content creators, while continuing to work with artists who are passionate about delivering an incredible experience.
